A Note From Steena

When You Tell is one of those books/stories that took a long time to write and a long time to publish! I was at a point in my career where I was trying to figure out who I was as an author and, more importantly, what kinds of stories I truly wanted to tell.

This book became part of that journey for me.

And now, as it gets ready to go out into the world, it feels like I’m having another one of those moments. When You Tell is my first book where we’re really focusing on print — getting physical copies into readers’ hands, onto bookshelves, into bookstores and libraries. That makes this preorder especially important to me.

Preorders tell bookstores, retailers and my publisher that readers are interested in a book before it releases. They help create momentum and give a book the best possible start when release day finally arrives.

So I wanted to do something special for those of you who preorder When You Tell.

Travel is a big part of this story, but it’s also become such a big part of my life. Between my own trips and hosting reader tours, I’m always discovering things that make traveling a little easier. So one prize package is basically a few of my favorite travel things, from one travel addict to another — including a carry-on tote I love, a Summer Fridays travel set, and the Tracking Card Pro that now goes into every piece of luggage I take (and one stays in my wallet, because apparently I’ve become that person 😂).

I wanted the prizes to actually feel like me — books, travel, and some of the things I genuinely love and use.
