Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a passport?
A valid passport is strongly recommended for this cruise. While some U.S. citizens on closed-loop cruises may be able to travel with a government-issued photo ID and original birth certificate, a passport is the easiest and most secure form of travel identification. Your passport should be valid for at least six months beyond your return date.
Is this a writing workshop or author event?
No. This is a reader-focused cruise, not a writing retreat or workshop (unless there is enough interest and then we can hold a writing workshop). While there will be a few optional, casual group moments, the primary focus is relaxing, reading, and enjoying the cruise.
How do I get to the ship?
Guests are responsible for arranging their own flights to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It’s recommended to arrive at least one day early.
Will there be airport or hotel transfers?
More information will be provided as we get closer to the cruise.
Is travel insurance required?
Travel insurance is not required, but it is strongly recommended to protect your investment in case of illness, delays, or unforeseen circumstances.
What is the cancellation policy?
Celebrity Cruises’ standard cancellation policies apply. Full details will be provided at the time of booking.
Can I upgrade my beverage or Wi-Fi package?
Yes. The group rate includes the Classic Beverage Package and Basic Wi-Fi, both of which can be upgraded.
Can I book as a solo traveler?
Yes. Please note Celebrity does not offer solo staterooms on this sailing, and a 200% solo supplement applies (my suggestion is to find someone who would like to cruise with you and book together!)
Are payment plans available?
Yes. You can secure your stateroom with a $500 deposit, with final payment due November 9, 2026.
Is this cruise suitable for all ages?
This cruise is designed with adult readers in mind. Guests must meet Celebrity Cruises’ minimum age requirements.
