I had the pleasure of reading Christina Dodd’s upcoming novel – Dead Girl Running.
I have three confessions to make:
1. I’ve got the scar of a gunshot on my forehead.
2. I don’t remember an entire year of my life.
3. My name is Kellen Adams…and that’s half a lie.
Doesn’t that blurb call out to you? Combine the cover with that blurb and I was instantly hooked!
I wanted to know why shed have a scar on her forehead from a gunshot – how did the character survive and why would she get shot? What happened to that year she can’t remember and what part of her name is a lie?
I’m in the middle of a deadline of my own so I was only able to read in the evenings, but I stayed up way too late each night reading it. The suspense was right on, it had me hooked, the backstory had me hooked and the characterization has me wishing/hoping that this is the start to a new series!
So do I recommend it? I sure do, especially if you are a Christina Dodd fan (which I happen to be).
