Taking part in the Love at the Chocolate Shop series was one of my favorite projects – how could it not be? I’m writing with some amazing authors and chocolate is the main character! Marietta is such an amazing town … have you read any of the other Tule stories set in that cute Montana town?

Marin Thomas is one of the authors who writes in our series and she’s one powerhouse of a woman!

A little background on Marin…

Marin Thomas writes Women’s Fiction for Berkley and western romances for Harlequin and Tule Publishing. To date she has contracted over 35 projects for Harlequin. Her first women’s fiction novel, The Promise of Forgiveness, released March 2016 and her second novel, The Future She Left Behind releases September 2017. Marin is also a member of the Tall Poppy Writers https://tallpoppies.org
Marin grew up in Janesville, Wisconsin and attended college at the University of Arizona where she played basketball for the Lady Wildcats and earned a B.A. in Radio-TV. Following graduation she married her college sweetheart in a five-minute ceremony at the historical Little Chapel of the West in Las Vegas, Nevada. Marin and her husband currently live in Phoenix, Arizona, where she spends her free time junk hunting and researching her next ghost tour.

Love at the Chocolate Shop Book….

SWEET HOME COWBOY – When Marietta newcomer Elena Puente is coerced into attending a speed-dating event at the popular Copper Mountain Chocolate shop, she’s blindsided by a serious attraction to local cowboy, Wesley Banks.
Still recovering from a broken engagement, the first-grade teacher from Las Vegas isn’t looking for romance. She’s in Montana to get to know the great-grandfather she never knew existed until she found some hidden family letters. Judge Kingsley is a grouchy recluse and he’s far from welcoming, but Elena is determined to stay in town long enough to give his neglected estate on Bramble Lane a facelift.
Elena’s resolve to avoid romance is tested when she discovers Wesley is the caretaker of her grandfather’s rural property. Soon, she and the cowboy are attending more speed-dating events at the chocolate shop and she’s seeking his advice on how to deal with his ornery boss. Local gossips wager the old Judge will run Elena out of town before anything serious develops between her and Wesley. But Wesley’s a determined man, too, and he’s betting Elena belongs in Marietta forever…with him.

NOW LET’S GET TO KNOW MARIN…

Let’s talk Chocolate. What’s your favorite kind and if all the Love at the Chocolate Shop authors got together – what would you bring as a dessert?

Hot fudge is my favorite kind of chocolate and I would bring the ingredients for hot fudge sundaes to a meeting of the Love at the Chocolate Shop authors.

How many books did you write in the series and who is your fav character?

I’ve written one book in the series, Sweet Home Cowboy, (June 2017) and my favorite character is the ornery recluse, Judge Kingsley.

If you could sit with Sage for an hour, what would you talk about?

I would try to talk Sage into creating a hot fudge sauce recipe using the secret ingredient that she puts into her hot chocolate mix. Then I’d try to convince her to sell jars of the fudge topping in her store.

What did you love the most about writing in this series?

Sweet Home Cowboy was the first book I’d written for the Montana Born line and I loved getting to know the town of Marietta and its residents.

What’s next for you?

My second romantic women’s fiction novel, The Future She Left Behind, releases September 2017. In January 2018 I’ll have another Montana Born release. New Years at the Graff is part of a multi-author holiday series set in the Graff Hotel in Marietta, Montana. And in June 2017 the final book in my Harlequin Western series, Cowboys of Stampede, Texas, releases.
