We write, we edit, we revise (and revise, revise and revise) and when it’s finally time to publish the book we’ve spent so much time writing (whether via a publisher or on your own) we begin to panic. Why? Marketing!

With the ever changing landscape of social media, savvy readers and a plethora of books available, it’s essential we stand out from the crowd, right?

Here’s my number one tip you’ll hear me tell authors time and time again….

BookBub is here to help with their very own flip book full of marketing tips from authors on book promo.

Here’s what I recommend

  • Download it.
  • Go through it and learn.
  • Find a few tips that you can use for your next promo and ones that will fit you and your brand.
  • Don’t stress over trying to do everything…just try one or two ideas at a time. If it doesn’t work, try another tip…

The best thing about this is that it’s not a one tip fits all approach. We all have different writing styles, different readerships, write in different genres – you get what I’m saying, right?

I especially love this quote from Becky Albertalli, author of Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda:

There are a lot of great tips – 50 to be exact! Let me know which one resounds with you the most! And…join the conversation on twitter too!
